Alita Watson About

I’ve always been called to service, from my early days in the Army National Guard, becoming a healthcare specialist, to spending over 13 years in global aid, and later transitioning as an Embedded Coach at fast-growth startups.

The common thread in all of these experiences was the role I played as a bridge between the communities we served and the leaders aiming to make a meaningful impact. By creating a shared reality between the two, we accomplished amazing things.

While working with Smile Network International, USAID, and the American Refugee Committee, I developed infrastructure in 15 developing countries, providing life-altering surgeries, healthcare, and education to thousands of children.

Throughout this journey, I witnessed tremendous suffering alongside impossible resilience — experiences that shaped who I became as a coach, a community leader, and a mother, one who anchors in gratitude and trusts that everything is happening ‘for us,’ not ‘to us.’

After seven years as an Embedded Coach and now training others to duplicate this model, I've operated across all layers, functions, and diverse industries. I’ve seen the chaos, the pitfalls, the cycles, and the comebacks.

Across the board, the common key to success is authentic leadership. This is easier said than done in today's landscape when your words have the power to instantly create unity or divides.

There’s nothing I love more than helping leaders express what they really think in a way that inspires and creates connection—even when they’re saying the hard things. When they do, it usually becomes contagious, and people start operating from a place of truth vs. fear. A place of curiosity, vs. ‘rightness.’ This is where the magic happens.

I remain in service of this magic and committed to helping you create an organization where everyone can thrive. This includes you, for the world needs your presence and contribution more than ever before. Let’s DO this.
